Lead Instructor
Vaidya Suhas Kshirsagar, MD (Ayur-India), BAMS
He worked with His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi for over 10 years. During these years he and his wife Dr. Manisha, traveled extensively all around the world, teaching Ayurvedic Medicine, Jyotish, designing courses & curriculums, directing Ayurvedic Clinics and helping design new Ayurvedic formulations. He was the Chairman for Maharishi College of Vedic Medicine, a Professor at Maharishi University of Management and the Medical Director, at the Raj Pancha-Karma center in Fairfield IA.
He is a motivational speaker, presenting Ayurvedic Wisdom and sharing stage with Deepak Chopra, Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer and many other leaders in the field.
He currently leads an Ayurvedic Clinic offering Pancha Karma, Diet and Lifestyle consultations, Vedic Astrology, Vedic Counseling, Medical dietology and herbal medicine. He teaches the “Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor” and “Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner” programs to over 200 students, at different locations in United States.

Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’BrianYogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian is a western woman who teaches the riches of Indian philosophy in a fully accessible and inspiring way for newcomers and longtime practitioners alike. Ordained by Roy Eugene Davis, a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, she has been teaching and leading retreats for over three decades.She is a poet, teacher, writer, and the spiritual director of Center for Spiritual Enlightenment—a Kriya Yoga Meditation Center with headquarters in San Jose, California. She teaches nationally and internationally and has received several community service awards, including the 2015 Mahatma Gandhi Award for the Promotion of Religious Pluralism.
Sheila Patel, MD
Dr. Sheila Patel is the Chopra Center’s Medical Director and a board-certified family physician who is passionate about bringing holistic healing practices into the Western medical system. She earned her M.D. at the University of Wisconsin Medical School and completed her residency in family medicine at the Ventura County Medical Center in Southern California. For more than a decade, she practiced full-spectrum family medicine, from prenatal care and deliveries to ER coverage and primary care for all ages. At the Chopra Center, Dr. Patel offers integrative medical consultations that combine the best in conventional medicine with the wisdom of Ayurveda. She also teaches at the Chopra Center’s 6-day and 10-day Perfect Health programs, and is certified as an instructor of Ayurveda, yoga, and meditation.
Dr. Manisha Kshirsagar
Dr. Manisha, BAMS, LMT, DYA (India), is an accomplished Ayurvedic Physician and is teaching and practicing ayurvedic medicine in the west for over two decades. She is a Certified Yoga Teacher, Licensed Esthetician and specializes in Clinical Nutrition. She offers regular workshops on Ayurvedic Cooking, Skin and Beauty, Panchakarma therapies and Ayurvedic Herbology. She is an assistant professor at Maharishi University and a faculty at various Ayurvedic Schools. She is the author of the award winning book ,”Ayurveda: A Quick Reference handbook”. She is the Co-Director at “Ayurvedic Healing” an Integrative Wellness Clinic in Santa Cruz, California.
Bill Levacy
William R. (Bill) Levacy holds a BA in Literature, a Master’s in the Science of Creative Intelligence, a Master’s in Education, and a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Human Performance Improvement (HPI). Bill is the author of, “Beneath a Vedic Sky,” “Beneath a Vedic Sun,” and “Vedic Astrology Simply Put.” He is a recipient of the 2011 “Jyotish Medha Pragya” award by the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS) in New Delhi, India and the 2012 “Jyotisha Mahasagara” award from the Raman and Rajeshwari Research Foundation, in Bangalore, India. Bill is President of the American College of Vedic Astrology™ (ACVA), and the ACVAOnline ™ educational program, and has maintained an active consulting astrology practice since 1983 and has lectured internationally.
Michael Mastro
Michael Mastro is North America’s leading expert of Vastu. For over 40 years, Michael has used Vastu for his clients worldwide to align their home and workspaces. As an architect and developer, Michael has built more than 20 million square feet of mixed-use space and 15,000 homes. He designed and built the first Microsoft building and many buildings for The Boeing Company employing the principles of Vastu. Corporate clients include The World Bank, NASA, Oracle, Microsoft, Amazon, Boeing and Intel.Michael has been a teacher of yoga and meditation techniques since 1970. He is also a Jyotish astrologer. He gives vastu readings through the Chopra Centers and is a regular presenter on the subject of how to create stress-free living and working environments through Vastu at NAMA (the National Ayurvedic Medical Association Conference).
Brent BecVar, M.S.
Brent BecVar has worked in direct association with Deepak Chopra and the Chopra Organization for more than 22 years and was one of the first certified instructors of both Primordial Sound Meditation and Perfect Health Ayurvedic Lifestyle. In 1993 with Dr. Chopra and Dr. David Simon, Brent established and supervised the Sharp Center for Mind Body Medicine Residential Program in Del Mar, California, which later became the Chopra Center for Wellbeing.With over 30 years experience as a psychotherapist, educator, and Vedic astrologer, Brent has studied with respected Vedic Science masters in the U.S. and India. Brent received a master’s degree in education and psychology from the University of Kentucky. He was trained as a certified yoga instructor by Swami Satchidananda and the Integral Yoga Institute in 1970 and has taught and been immersed in Vedic studies for more than 40 years.
