Course Description

This three month course focused on Ayurvedic Herbal Preparations, January–March, 2018 will introduce you to 20 of the most important Ayurvedic Herbs and how to prepare basic herbal formulas, tinctures, medicinal oils and medicated ghees. This course is designed to build upon the knowledge learned in Ayurvedic Home Remedies – Part 1.

 

You will learn:

  • 20 of the most important Ayurvedic herbs
  • Basics of Formulation Making – Guidelines to proper combinations based upon taste, potency, quality and their use for common diseases
  • How to make hot and cold herbal infusions
  • Introduction to Aromatherapy
  • Essential oil combinations for Vata, Pitta, Kapha and common imbalances
  • How to make tinctures
  • How to make Herbal Massage Oils (eg. Bala Ashvagandha oil)
  • How to make Herbal Ghee (eg. Brahmi ghee/Triphala Ghee)
  • How to make Herbal Wines
  • Classical Ayurvedic Formulas

Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar, MD (Ayur-India), BAMS, is a classically trained Ayurvedic physician and a gold medalist from prestigious Pune University. He is an insightful Medical Astrologer and Vedic Counselor and motivational speaker, presenting Ayurvedic Wisdom and sharing stage with Deepak Chopra, Tony Robbins, Wayne Dyer and many other leaders in the field.

Dr. Manisha Kshirsagar, BAMS, LMT, DYA (India), graduated from Pune University, India with a Bachelors degree in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. She is also trained at the Indian College of Naturopathy and qualified as a Yoga Instructor from the renowned Kaivalyadham University in India. Dr. Manisha has been teaching Ayurveda ,yoga for more than 10 years. She specializes in women and infant health, skin care and natural beauty treatments and offers workshops on Ayurvedic nutrition and cooking, Panchakarma and Herbology.
